Recent Work: AI, Games, and Creator Tools

My recent work brings together game development, applied AI, technical leadership, and creator tools. After decades building games and game teams, I am now focused on practical AI systems for interactive media: tools that help designers, creators, and studios make better work faster.

PlayCraft AI

Role: Founder

PlayCraft AI is my consulting and product studio for applied AI in games and interactive media.

The initial consulting focus was practical AI for game studios: improving player lifetime value, accelerating content workflows, giving designers better tools, and exploring where on-device models and studio data can become useful production systems.

Current focus:

Shotmaker and Daydreamer

Daydreamer Experiments Breakdown

Role: Founder, developer, creative technologist

Shotmaker is my current AI video and filmmaking tool project. The goal is to make AI video generation more controllable, repeatable, and useful for real storytelling.

Daydreamer grew out of that work as a short-form regenerative AI video showcase. It explores what happens when structured 3D scene data, feedback loops, prompts, masks, and music-driven parameter changes are combined into a single rendering system.

The project demonstrates:

Role: Applied AI consultant

I worked with PeopleFun as an AI consultant through PlayCraft AI on applied AI systems for word games, game design, player understanding, and dynamic difficulty.

The core idea was to better understand why players churn: whether a player was leaving because the game was too easy, too hard, or simply not matching the kind of challenge they wanted. From there, we explored ways to rate levels, model player behavior, and dynamically tune the experience so the game could better fit each player’s play style. For word games in particular, semantic models and embeddings are a powerful way to reason about content, meaning, and player-specific tastes.
